We use one cookie, and only for administrator login. No advertising, no analytics, no third-party tracking.

1. The short version
This website sets one cookie, and only after a member of our team logs into the administration area. If you are browsing the public site — reading about our services, sending an enquiry, or uploading a manuscript — no cookies are set at all.
That is why you have not been shown a consent banner. Under most cookie rules, strictly necessary cookies do not require consent, and we do not set any other kind.
2. The cookie we use

Both cookies are httpOnly, meaning it cannot be read by JavaScript running in the page, and is marked Secure in production so it is only ever transmitted over HTTPS. They contain a signed session token and nothing else — no personal details, no browsing history.
3. What we do not use
- No advertising or retargeting cookies. We do not advertise, and we do not let anyone else advertise to you based on your visit here.
- No third-party analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, and no equivalent tracking script on this site.
- No social media trackers. We do not embed social widgets that register your visit.
- No cross-site tracking. Nothing we set can follow you to other websites.
4. Third-party requests
Our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. This means your browser makes a request to Google’s servers, which will see your IP address as part of serving the font files. Google does not set cookies through this font service, but the request itself is a transfer of data outside our control.
Google’s handling of that request is governed by their own privacy terms. If you would prefer this not to happen, the fonts can be self-hosted instead — email us if this matters to you and we will treat it as a fair request.
5. Server logs
Separately from cookies, our hosting provider (Spaceship, in the United States) and our network provider (Cloudflare) record standard logs — IP address, pages requested, timestamps, browser type. This happens for every website and is used for security and troubleshooting, not for tracking individuals across the web. Retention is described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Because the only cookie we set is the administrator session, blocking cookies will not affect your use of the public site in any way. It will prevent our team from logging into the dashboard.
Browser cookie controls are usually found under Settings → Privacy. Most browsers also offer a way to clear cookies for a single site.
7. Changes to this policy
If we ever add analytics or any non-essential cookie, we will update this page and introduce a consent mechanism before it is set — not afterwards. The “last updated” date above will reflect any change.
